Sister to sister we will always be,
A couple of nuts off the family tree.

A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life.
~Isadora James
We acquire friends and we make enemies, but our sisters come with the territory.
~Evelyn Loeb
It is interesting to note that siblings are pitted against each other by design and circumstances, beginning the time of our awareness of each and one another. My sister and I were the most competitive relationship within the family, probably in the same way our two brothers were to each other. By grace of wisdom and time, we helped each of us grow in our unique ways and means to develop the strongest bond there is. How each of us turned out to be, who we are now, and how we communicate with the world or cope with emotions and reasons are consequences of those daily juvenile squabbles.

finally i am able to get into your blog. yah we have such an interesting past. And our brothers. I am glad I got you as my sister. I have always looked-up to you even when I was young. I didnt tell you that I am delighted when some people around tell me now that "I look like you" because finally I am beautiful har har har!
ReplyDeleteDo you remember how nanay would introduce me as her "ugly child" har har har. got resentments before. now i think she said that because when she is mad at tatay, she could see his face in mine. har har har
love you always and of course Omar and Kokoy.
I am surprised to know that Nanay actually uttered those words, as I know and felt growing up that you were the "favored" child - to me, you always carried the "twin clothes" bought for us a lot better! In my eyes, you were always better looking, taller and longer legs, and clothes always fit better because mine were almost always too big on "skinny" me!
